Position Description / Responsibilities:

Dr. Scheideler is currently a Senior Scientific Officer at the National Institutes of Health working with translational research initiatives. He leads a NIH Roadmap Initiative that has created a broad portfolio of innovative technologies and projects for use by the Molecular Libraries consortium of high-throughput screening & chemistry centers (www.mli.nih.gov), and is also a member of that national networks NIH operations team. He also founded and now leads a set of trans-Institute Programs funding Medicinal Chemistry projects in the Neurosciences, which uniquely leverages chem-informatic outsourcing and collaborative networks. In addition, Dr. Scheideler’s work coordinating the Public-Private-Partnership effort of the Clinical-Translational Science Awards consortium (www.ctsa.org) led to the conception and implementation of a strategy to search intellectual property across member institutions. The web-based, open-access search tool CTSA-IP now enables rapid license and technology searching and bundling (www.ctsaip.org).
