Past Meetings

Our February meeting of Health TechNet was held on Friday, February 19, at TeqCorner in Tyson’s Corner Virginia. The feature topic was a discussion, led by Jim Oakes of HCIC, on the state of implementing electronic health records, asking the question, “Why is it so hard to get value out of these systems?” Health systems and providers have made massive investments in EHR technology over the past few years, but many are struggling very hard to see real value from those systems. Our program featured Anita Samarth, co-founder of Clinovations and CEO of Clinovations Government + Health; Jennifer Moore, a Principal at HCIC; and other industry experts who discussed how providers have been able to get true financial and clinical value from these systems and what needs to be done to make further improvements.
