Our April Health TechNet meeting was an in-person event held at Nelson Mullins’ offices in Washington, D.C.
The topic was “Securing the Nation's Critical Infrastructure: a discussion of healthcare as a critical infrastructure and recommendations for sustainability”.
This session provided an overview of both the current and potential future states of cybersecurity practices and regulation for Healthcare in the United States. Deanne Primozic Kasim provided an overview of proposed federal legislation affecting cybersecurity practices, including healthcare. Joyce Hunter led a discussion of the current state of healthcare cybersecurity and where she sees future developments, frameworks, and best practices emerging.
