Our May meeting of Health TechNet at Teqcorner in McLean, VA featured a discussion of some of the newest advancements being made at advanced health systems using mobile apps, telemedicine, retail arrangements and other customer service techniques to make is easier for patients to navigate the healthcare system and obtain care in easier and up-to-date ways.
Our primary speakers were 1) Douglas Goldstein, our “e-Futurist” and resident expert on new tech trends, 2) Dr. Joe Bormel, VP Medical Informatics, Healthline.com, and 3) David Main, Partner in the Healthcare Practice of Nelson Mullins. All three of them had been following these new developments, in particular at the Providence Healthcare, Ochsner Health System, and Walgreens, among others.
