Our July 17 meeting of HealthTechNet, which was a Zoom call, focused on “Changing Investment Strategies During Covid-19.”
During this session, we examined how investment strategies in the healthcare and health IT arena have changed with the pandemic. Are different amounts being invested? Have investment targets changed? Are terms and conditions different than before? Rather than have a series of presentations, we had a panel discussion and an extended Q&A. Our distinguished panelists included: Sally Alain, Head of JLabs @ Washington, DC; Claire Broido Johnson, Managing Director of the Maryland Momentum Fund at the University of Maryland; Elizabeth Cho-Fertikh, Founder of Meda Angels; Dan Zohorsky, Director, Corporate Development for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield - Healthworx; and Kapila Ratnam, Managing Partner at NewSpring Capital. Our moderator was Deanne Kasim, Executive Director, Health Policy at Change Healthcare.
